Russia, Ukraine and the European Union have agreed on the price for the Russian gas supplies to Ukraine from October 2014 through March 2015, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said.

MOSCOW, October 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russia, Ukraine and the European Union have agreed on the price for the Russian gas supplies to Ukraine from October 2014 through March 2015, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said.

"The parties agreed that the price for the period from October 2014 to March 2015 will stand at $385 per 1,000 cubic meters," the minister said.

Ukraine plans to buy about 2 billion cubic meters of Russian gas in November,2014 for $770 million, Novak added.

“According to our information, Ukraine plans to buy about 2 billion cubic meters at $385 [per 1,000 cubic meters], which amounts to $770 million,” Novak said at a press conference following the trilateral gas talks between Russia, Ukraine and the European Union.

The Russian Energy Minister noted that Ukraine needs to pay off its gas debt for November-December 2013 before the start of new deliveries.

"In conclusion of today's talks the parties noted that Milan agreements have been reaffirmed," Novak said.
