MOSCOW, September 26 (RIA Novosti) – The head of the state-run Russian Railways company Vladimir Yakunin said in an interview with RIA Novosti on Friday that he was irritated by the attempts of his adversaries to impose on officials an image of tycoons with “villas and a storage room packed with fur coats.”

“This is an absolutely conscious effort aimed at discreditation by specially chosen people … Of course, this irritates me,” Yakunin said.

Information is circulating on the Internet accusing the Russian Railways chief of spending more money than he actually earns. It is also claimed that Yakunin owns an expensive villa with a special storage room for fur coats.

Yakunin also defined a tycoon, saying, “This is an owner of property who has direct influence on politics … This is a tycoon and not an employee of a state-run company,” he stressed.
