BEIJING, August 11 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations is to hold the World Congress on Risk in Moscow in 2015, the head of the ministry, Vladimir Puchkov, said Monday.
“New threats to humans are being formed by the transformation and alteration of existing natural, man-induced, biological and social risks. In this context the Ministry of Emergency Situations is planning to hold the World Congress on Risk in Moscow in May 2015,” said Puchkov at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum of emergency officials in Beijing.
The minister added that Russian leadership has already made a decision on the organization of the congress and invited all APEC members to attend the event.
