A man in the Russian city of Dzerzhinsk was stabbed to death in a fight sparked by an impatient shopper’s decision to jump the line, investigators said Monday.

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, November 26 (RIA Novosti) – A man in the Russian city of Dzerzhinsk was stabbed to death in a fight sparked by an impatient shopper’s decision to jump the line, investigators said Monday.

The local branch of the Investigative Committee said the argument started when one man cut ahead of another to buy a bottle of beer on Saturday at a store in Dzerzhinsk, about 400 kilometers east of Moscow.

The men came to blows and knocked over a store display, the statement said, after which the alleged line-cutter telephoned his 22-year-old son, who lived next door, for assistance.

The son began hitting the offended beer-buyer, who then drew a knife and stabbed the father and son one time each, investigators said.

The father, who investigators said was sober at the time of the fight, was hospitalized, but his son died on the spot.

Police have charged the 35-year-old suspect with murder.
