MOSCOW, April 27 (RIA Novosti) – A playground ordered for a village in Russia’s Far East by President Vladimir Putin during a conversation with a young girl as part of Thursday’s televised Q&A session with “the people” is already in place, a regional official said on Saturday.
Putin was asked on Thursday by a young pigtailed girl from a large family, many of whom are adoptees, to help provide a playground for her village in the Far East Primorsky region.
The president promise to do so, and word came back during his over 4-hour Q&A session that the order had already been received by the local administration. Work began the same day.
On Saturday, administration officials told RIA Novosti the playground was already up and ready for use.
Putin has made a habit of granting petitions during his live Q&A shows. In late 2008, as prime minister, he invited a young girl from Siberia to come and visit the Kremlin after she asked him for a new dress.
