At least 93 members of a major drug trafficking group have been arrested in Russia's southern Urals republic of Bashkortostan, the head of Russia's federal anti-drug service said on Wednesday.
"The group had some 200 active members. The money they received from selling drugs stood at least $1.5 million per month," Viktor Ivanov said.
Bashkortostan lies close to a major drug trafficking route from the world's largest heroin producer, Afghanistan, to Europe via Russia.
