More than 20 people were injured from fireworks accidents in Moscow during New Year's celebrations, the head of the Moscow Emergencies Ministry's press service, Evgeny Bobylyov, told RIA Novosti on Saturday.
"Twenty-three people, including a 13-year-old teenager, were injured due to fireworks on the night of December 31," Bobylyov said.
Last year, 19 people were injured by fireworks mishaps, among them nine were children.
