At least four militants, who were behind an attack on police officers in the North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, have been killed, a local police spokesman said on Thursday.
Earlier on Thursday, the militants attacked several police units, killing at least six law enforcers and injuring at least two others.
"According to preliminary information...the police enforcers caught up to the car with militants involved in the attacks on the police officers," the spokesman said, adding that during the shootout the car caught on fire and exploded.
