YAKUTSK, March 16 (RIA Novosti) - Investigators in the northeastern Siberian republic of Yakutia are looking into the deaths of four men believed to have committed suicide by hanging on the same day, a prosecutor's aide said on Monday.

The men, aged between 21 and 65, apparently all hung themselves on Saturday in villages across the remote Russian republic, Nadezhda Dvoretskaya said. They did not leave any messages.

The first body, that of a 21-year-old man, was found hanging early on Saturday "between a garage and a private house" in the village of Ulakh-An in the republic's Khangalassky District, Dvoretskaya said.

The next body to be discovered was that of a 22-year-old manual worker. His corpse was found hanging in his flat at midday in the Vilyuysky District's Kysyl-Syr village.

Thirty minutes after the second body was discovered, police learnt that a 28-year-old man, thought to have been suffering from tuberculosis, had hung himself in a hospital in the Megino-Kangalassky District village of Khomustakh.

Shortly after this, a report came through on the suicide of a 65-year-old man in a private house in the village of Kazache in the Ust-Yansky District.

"The man chose the same method - hanging," Dvoretskaya added.
