MOSCOW, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - A bus driver who had been allegedly selling heroin to passengers at stations has been detained by police in Moscow, the Federal Drug Control Service said on Monday.

The 39-year-old bus driver-cum-drug dealer was caught red-handed while selling a 0.34 batch of heroin at a station. Another two grams of heroin were subsequently discovered by police in the bus itself.

A medical examination revealed that the driver was "under the influence of drugs".

Police said the driver was believed to have sold over 200 grams of heroin, worth 250,000 rubles ($10,200) every month. A criminal case has been opened. The driver could face up to 20 years behind bars if convicted.
