MOSCOW, December 3 (RIA Novosti) - The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) will nominate its candidate for next year's presidential elections at a session on December 13, the party's leader said on Monday.
"The session is scheduled for December 13," Vladimir Zhirinovsky said, adding that apart from the presidential nomination, the party would discuss the outcome of the December 2 parliamentary elections.
The ultranationalist LDPR came third at Sunday's parliamentary polls, according to preliminary data, gaining 8.2% of the vote.
Zhirinovsky said agriculture and housing will be among the main issues the party will focus on during its work in the new State Duma.
