MOSCOW, December 2 (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin, who headed United Russia's list of candidates for Sunday's parliamentary election, congratulated the party on its victory, the party leader said.
Putin "congratulated United Russia on its victory, thanked State Duma deputies for their work over the past four years, and assessed this work as constructive and effective," Boris Gryzlov said live on TV channel Vesti.
