MOSCOW, June 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to visit Belarus June 27-28, a ministry spokesman said Tuesday.
Mikhail Kamynin said the minister would meet with his counterpart Sergei Martynov and President Alexander Lukashenko to discuss issues of integration and bilateral cooperation in the world arena based on a 2006-2007 program of coordinated steps in foreign policy.
The two former Soviet nations are building a Union State in a bid to integrate their economies and political systems, but the process has stalled over a host of issues, including an energy dispute and a tug-of-war between the countries' leaders.
