The theater's ballet troupe and orchestra will tour four cities, performing at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham as well as Manchester's Lowry Centre Lyric Theatre, Birmingham's Hippodrome and Southampton's Mayflower.
Maria Alexandrova, Svetlana Lunkina, Sergei Filin and other leading Bolshoi dancers will appear in three classical ballets, including Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake," Aram Khachaturyan's "Spartacus," and Adolphe Adam's "Gisele," and will also give three gala performances.
In July, the Bolshoi Ballet will return to London's Royal Opera House in Covent Garden with a program celebrating the 50th anniversary of its triumphal first tour in 1956. Members of the Bolshoi opera company will be taking part in the jubilee performances as well.
