MOSCOW, March 24 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Black Sea Fleet will conduct week-long training exercises starting on March 27, a spokesperson said Friday.
The official said the exercises in the Black Sea would involve 18 warships and missile boats, 12 combat planes and helicopters and 14 auxiliary ships. The Fleet's commander, Admiral Alexander Tatarinov, will oversee the maneuvers.
The exercises will focus on passing through mine fields using mine-sweepers, setting depth charges, artillery and missile-launch practice, and multiple-unit coordination during tactical operations.
