MOSCOW, December 26 (RIA Novosti) - Several dozens of people were poisoned with an unknown gas in two trade centers in St. Petersburg Monday, the Emergency Situations Ministry said. Homemade devices containing capsules of unidentified gas were planted in three trade centers and went off in two of them, the local FSB department said.
The ministry said 78 people needed medical aid, 66 of whom were hospitalized. The FSB reported that only three people had been taken to hospital for medical observation.
According to the ministry, many are feeling better and have been released from hospitals.
