MOSCOW, December 7 (RIA Novosti) - The Coronas-F satellite finished its orbital mission Tuesday and almost completely disintegrated after reentering the Earth's atmosphere, a Russian Space Agency official said Wednesday.
"According to the agency's information center, the fragments of the spacecraft that did not burn upon reentry plunged into the Pacific at 20:34 Moscow time [5:34p.m GMT]," Vyacheslav Davidenko said.
More than 50 spacecraft belonging to various countries are removed from orbit every year, he said.
"The agency regarded the situation as ordinary," Davidenko said.
