GROZNY, November 12 (RIA Novosti) - A total of 1,815,000 ballot papers for the November 27 parliamentary election in Chechnya have been delivered to the republic, the Chechen Election Commission chairman said Saturday.

Ismail Baikhanov said three types of ballots, each batch containing 605,000, had been delivered - to vote on party lists to the lower house of parliament, and independent candidates (elected in single-seat constituencies to both houses). He added that 596,961 voters were registered in the republic, with each voter supposed to cast three ballots.

Baikhanov said the election campaign was being held in line with the law. "No violations have been registered during the election campaign," he said.

A total of 353 candidates are running for 58 seats in Chechnya's bicameral parliament.
