MOSCOW, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Air Force will continue flying Mi-8 helicopters despite the crash near Khabarovsk (Far East), the commander of the Air Force said Thursday.

Vladimir Mikhailov said, "Mi-8 flights have not been suspended, but the aircraft are being thoroughly examined before flights."

The Mi-8 helicopters that have undergone inspection have already resumed flights, he said.

An Mi-8 military helicopter crashed Thursday due to a technical fault but the crew survived.
