SINGAPORE, July 6 (RIA Novosti) - Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov Wednesday met with Singapore's president, Sellapan Rama Nathan, and Lee Kuan Yew, the minister mentor of the prime minister's office.
They discussed aspects of and prospects for current trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Singapore.
Fradkov said he was able to meet the Singaporean leadership due to Moscow's bid to host the 2012 Olympics. The International Olympic Committee meeting to decide the 2012 host city is being held in Singapore.
Nathan confirmed he had invited high-ranking Russian officials to visit Singapore in the near future.
