MOSCOW, July 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to hold a number of bilateral meetings at the G8 summit in Gleneagles, Scotland, presidential aide Sergei Prikhodko said Wednesday.
Putin will meet with the British, Canadian and Japanese prime ministers, Algerian and South African presidents and the head of the South African Commission.
The Russian president is not "scheduled to hold a separate meeting with his U.S. counterpart," he added.
Putin and President Bush will meet at the group's sessions and dinners.
Prikhodko said that the summit of the informal club of the world's leading industrialized nations would begin on Thursday, July 7 with a routine session on the global economy development. Africa's problems will be discussed Friday.
