France’s Presidential race is upset as Nicolas Sarkozy falls out of the running; over a hundred Mosques have been attacked in the UK during the past 3 years; and Turkey drifts away from the EU, making eyes instead at the Shanghai Five.

France gears up for what looks like an inevitable right versus far-right standoff, as the center-right Republicans oust former their former President Nicolas Sarkozy.  We’ll be asking if France is heading towards a Marine Le Pen victory in 2017…

Figures reveal that over one hundred Mosques in the UK have been targeted in Anti-Muslim attacks over the past three years.  The finding by monitoring group 'Tell MAMA' suggest that highest cluster of attacks took place after the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby in 2013.  We hear from Fiyaz Mughal, Founder and Director of the charity Faith Matters.

Turkey may have made its first step away from its long held plan for accession to the European Union, as Turkish president Erdogan announces his interest in joining the Russian-led Shanghai five. We ask what the consequences of such a position could be for Turkey and beyond.

Pressure continues to mount against South Korea’s beleaguered President Park Geun-hye — who continues to face down corruption allegations, as her opponents now put the wheels in motion for an official impeachment process.
