Tensions Rise in Venezuela | Britain Questioned Over Support of Saudi Gov

As tensions between the Government and opposition protesters grow in Venezuela, clashes throughout the country have resulted in over 100 wounded, and at least one police officer shot dead; and, British government has faced questions over its support of Saudi Arabia ahead of the UN Human Rights Council vote.

Opponents of Venezuela's Socialist government have been angered this week, by news that a recall referendum — which could see the President removed from office — has now been suspended indefinitely. As a result protests have stepped up considerably, and the past twenty four hours has seen some ugly confrontations. We speak to Carlos Hernández, journalist with the Caracas Chronicles.

The British Government has faced questions over its continued support of Saudi Arabia, and its indirect involvement in the Saudi-led bombing campaign in Yemen. Debates have taken place in the UK's House of Commons ahead of the vote tomorrow over Saudi Arabia's membership of the UN human rights council. We speak to human rights lawyer, and director of Human Rights for Yemen, Kim Sharif.
