Around half a million people took to the streets across Catalonia in massive pro-independence demonstrations on the autonomous region’s national day and the US and Israel are close to signing the biggest ever military aid package, despite ongoing senate disputes.

We speak to Professor Antonio Cabrales from University College London.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Israel, constituting the biggest ever military aid package to be given to any country by the United States, should be signed in the “very near future,” despite disputes in the US Senate.
