    Brazil Impeachment “National Shame” | Post Brexit Financial Turmoil?

    Former Brazilian President Lula De Silva has called the impeachment process against Dilma Rousseff – which began yesterday – “shameful”; and after Brexit, is the UK headed towards another recession?

    Today’s main stories: As the final stages of the Brazilian impeachment trial against Dilma Rousseff kick off, former President Lula de Silva has referred to the process as "Brazil's week of shame". We speak to Professor Anthony Pereira from King’s College London’s Brazil Institute.

    Two months after Britain's Brexit vote, financial markets are in limbo with no indication of when Article 50 might be triggered. We'll be looking at predictions of a further fall in the value of the pound and a potential recession by the end of the year. We talk to Olivier Vardakoulias from New Economics Forum, and Professor Steve Keen from Kingston University.
