Ali al-Ahmed, director of the Institute of Gulf Affairs, tells host Brian Becker that he warned State Department officials about the upcoming executions of critics of the Saudi monarchy that put Iran and Saudi Arabia on the brink of military conflict.

Despite his warnings, no action was taken by the US.
