For the first time in modern history, Asia is now richer than Europe, and is catching up with North America, too.

By 2019 the region’s wealth is expected to reach $75 trillion compared to $63 trillion in North America. And although America still boasts the most millionaires in the world, of the 2m new millionaire households created last year, 62% are from Asia-Pacific.

On this edition of Looking Forward, co-hosts Svetlana Ekimenko and Russian writer Victor Erofeyev are joined by Ann Lee, adjunct professor of economics and finance at New York University and author of the book "What the U.S. Can Learn from China" to ponder what makes the Asia-Pacific region a destination for private-wealth managers.
