    More and more people are asking themselves today: do we really need vitamins and supplements or can we get all our nutrition from food?

    Ideally, we should be able to get all the nutrition we need from food we eat. Unfortunately, expert opinion tells us that much of the nutrition is lost in its journey from the field to our table. Besides, according to medical studies, not everyone’s body can properly assimilate nutrients.

    So, how do you get the proper nutrition? What do the mainstream medical authorities suggest? Certain studies have suggested nutritional supplements can go a long way to cutting hospital readmission rates for patients…

    It is a safe bet to suggest your health should be your greatest clue as to whether or not you require additional supplementation. In this edition of Looking Forward, we are joined by Shona Wilkinson, Head Nutritionist for NutriCentre, UK to try and answer the question: should we all be taking vitamins and supplements?
