This week we start off by discussing the sports controversy in Iran where an Indian athlete refused to attend the Asian Airgun Shooting Championship because the authorities demanded that she wear a hijab.

After that we take a look at the return of Al Shabaab in Somalia following the partial withdrawal of Ethiopian troops due to a lack of international support for their mission. Third on our countdown is the Prime Minister of the Kurdish Regional Government in Northern Iraq declaring that his territory will pursue independence after the liberation of Mosul. Then we analyze the election of President Michel Aoun in Lebanon and how this represents more of an Iranian-Saudi compromise than a full-blown victory for Tehran. Finally, our most important story of the week is undoubtedly the FBI Revolt of October 2016 which succeeded in convincing Director James Comey to do the right thing and reopen the investigation into Hillary’s emails.
