On this episode of "By Any Means Necessary" hosts Eugene Puryear and Sean Blackmon are joined by Ben Norton, journalist for Alternet to talk about the major political shake-ups in the Middle East over the weekend including the Saudi arrest of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the consolidation of power by Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the resignation of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri. The group also talk about Yemen's Houthis firing a ballistic missile at Riyadh, the role of Hezbollah in a rapidly shifting political landscape in the Middle East, and what the changes mean for US foreign policy and US-Iran relations.

In the third segment Frank Stricker, Emeritus Professor of History, California State University, Dominguez Hills, author of "American Unemployment: A New History, Explanations, Remedies" and a member of the National Jobs for All Coalition joins the show to talk about the current state of the US economy, the need to nuance conversations about the economy into conversations around poverty, wages, and unemployment, the rate of real unemployment in the US being around 10%, the Trump's administration's inability to link their proposed tax cuts to job growth, and the potential for a large infrastructure spending bill under the current administration.

Later in the show Eugene Puryear and Sean Blackmon talk about Donald Trump's first visit to Japan, the response to a mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, the latest efforts for corporations to hid income in off-shore accounts, depriving American's of major tax revenues.

In the last hour "By Any Means Necessary" is joined by Mondale Robinson, 21st Century Race Man and works with the DFA and the Conyers Institute to talk about the Virginia elections ahead of Tuesday's votes, Virginia Democratic elites' insistence on targeting Republicans at the expense of black voters, and the continued fallout from Donna Brazile's new book accounting dirty politics between the Hillary Clinton and Democratic National Party in the 2016 Presidential election.
