Although people who know a thing or two about exercise could have ventured an educated guess all along, the general public remained in the shadow. In 1967 a simple literature review was published in one of the leading publishing scientific periodicals. This “study” regarding negligible sugar effects on health as opposed to fats has been propagandized to an extent of influencing entire generations. Fast-forward to today where a simple graduate student finds out that research on sugar was heavily subsidized in part by the Sugar Association, which in turn has money from predominantly Coca-Cola.
