WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron in a phone call talked about the ways to expand the countries' collaboration in Syria and Iraq, the White House said in a press release.

"President Donald J. Trump spoke today with President Emmanuel Macron of France to explore how to increase cooperation in addressing the ongoing crises in Syria and Iraq and countering Iranian malign influence," the release stated on Friday.
