Members of the Syrian military opposition have joined consultations in Astana ahead of the plenary session, a Sputnik correspondent reported.

ASTANA (Sputnik) — Osama Abu Zeid, among other representatives of the Syrian opposition currently in Astana, has entered the consultations venue at Rixos hotel.

Russian and Iranian delegations are now holding bilateral talks. Ceasefire monitoring in Syria is the main issue on the agenda.

Plenary session is scheduled for 4 p.m. local time (10:00 GMT).
