MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lavrov called for creating such a "triangle," adding that it would not be directed against any state.
"We would like to see Russia, the US and China to develop relations together. This triangle should not be closed and directed to projects that will alert other states," Lavrov told lower house of parliament lawmakers.
While calling for a thaw with Russia during his presidential campaign, US President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized China over its monetary policy and had a phone conversation with Taiwan's leader and even invited Taiwan's delegation to his inauguration, while Washington used to adhere to the "One-China" policy, sparking Beijing's protests.
