US President Barack Obama spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the issue of cyberattacks, but Washington has never provided Moscow with sensible substantiation or facts regarding the accusations of Russia’s alleged involvement in cyberattacks, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Earlier this week, media reports emerged that Obama spoke to Putin via the so-called Red Phone connecting Moscow and Washington on the issue of cyberattacks. According to the NBC broadcaster, the communications system was developed 50 years ago and was used in moments of crisis.

"This is a normal secured phone line which heads of states use for telephone talks … In both the private conversation and phone talks with the US side, the US president has repeatedly mentioned these cyberattacks, this proverbial topic, the so-called topic of the Russian hackers. Every time were unable to receive any sensible substantiation or specific facts," Peskov told reporters.
