A total of 24 Russian nationals were detained on Friday upon arrival in Seoul international airport over alleged violation of South Korea's migration legislation, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Embassy in trying to resolve the situation.

"According to preliminary information, 24 Russian citizens were detained in Seoul airport…over vitiation of migration legislation as they have allegedly failed to state correctly the purpose of their visit to the country," a ministry's press service official told RIA Novosti.

"The Russian Embassy in Seoul is involved in resolving the situation. The Russian citizens will receive the necessary assistance," the official added.
