Moscow Hopes for Positive Dialogue With US Under Trump

Moscow hopes it will be able to establish positive dialogue with the United States under the new administration of President-elect Donald Trump in all sectors, including arms control, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Mikhail Ulyanov said that Russia and the West are engaged in intensive dialogue on arms control.

"We hope we will be able to build a positive dialogue in all areas, including arms control and non-proliferation," Ulyanov told reporters.

Ulyanov added that there is no real progress on the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) and that Russia hopes the topic will be further developed.
