Austrian Euroskeptics Urge Lifting Harmful Anti-Russia Sanctions
BRUSSELS (Sputnik) – French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will recommend on Thursday other EU leaders to extend anti-Russia sanctions, which will launch the work on formalities to extend the restrictions, an EU official said.

"I think if the members of the European Council will receive recommendations from chancellor Merkel and president Hollande to extend economic sanctions which were imposed after Russia’s aggression in Ukraine," the official told reporters.

He added that the recommendation would initiate work on formalities on a lower level.
