MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, the heads of the EU member states signed a historic deal with Cuba on political dialogue and cooperation.
"The developments in Washington that will come as of the end of January onwards will not affect in any way the relations between the European Union and Cuba," Mogherini told a press conference.
Last month, Trump threatened to terminate the "deal" with Cuba if Havana did not take steps to improve the lives of the Cuban people.
