Beijing condemns the attack against a Russian hospital in Aleppo which left two medics dead, the Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesman Lu Kang said Thursday.

BEIJING (Sputnik) — Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said December 5 militants of the so-called Syrian opposition attacked a Russian mobile military hospital in Aleppo, killing two Russian military medics and wounding one. Local residents also sustained wounds.

"We condemn and oppose these attacks and attacks on civilians, civilian targets and aid workers during armed clashes," Lu said answering the question on Chinese reaction to the attack.

Moscow believes that the attack on a Russian military hospital in Aleppo was a planned campaign, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Tuesday.

The United Kingdom, France and a range of international NGOs have condemned the attack.
