Russian Deputy Prime Minister Meets With Nicaraguan Leader

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin met with Nicaragua’s President Daniel Ortega after talks between the Russian delegation and Nicaraguan military officials and ministers.

MANAGUA (Sputnik) – Rogozin said on Wednesday that the talks with the Nicaraguan ministers and military officials were "very interesting."

In his turn, Ortega hailed Russia-Nicaragua ties as "historic" saying that both countries strive for world peace and the wellbeing of their peoples.

Earlier on Wednesday, Rogozin met with Commander in Chief of the Nicaraguan Army Gen. Julio Cesar Aviles Castillo in Managua.
