LONDON (Sputnik) — Earlier Wednesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov said the British foreign secretary had received an invitation from Lavrov to visit Moscow.
“We do not comment on Foreign Secretary travel plans," a spokesperson for the Foreign Office told RIA Novosti.
"At the same time, I would point you to a section of the Foreign Secretary’s speech at Chatham House last Friday when he said: 'Britain is prepared to be tough with Russia. But that does not mean it is wrong to talk and engage',” the spokesperson said.
