    Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will discuss counterterrorism and political crisis resolution efforts in Syria during his visit to Turkey, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lavrov is expected to pay a working visit to Alanya on Thursday to attend the fifth Russian-Turkish joint group for strategic planning meeting.

    "At the center of attention is cooperation in the fight against international terrorism, particularly in the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR), as well as the modalities of Syrian settlement with an emphasis on its transition to a political track by launching inclusive national dialogue on the basis of universally recognized principles of international law," the ministry said.
