Peru Wants to Develop Cooperation With Russia
LIMA (Sputnik) – President Vladimir Putin and his Peruvian counterpart Pedro Kuczynski met Saturday in the Peruvian capital of Lima to discuss trade and other opportunities for cooperation, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"They emphasized the intent to develop comprehensive relations," Peskov said. "They also discussed plans to set up a Russian trade representation [in Peru] soon to promote bilateral cooperation across various spheres."

During their meeting, President Putin invited Pedro Kuczynski to pay a visit to Russia.

The meeting took place on the margins of the APEC economic leaders' summit where 21 member states of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum are expected to work out a strategic vision for the next year.
