MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Republican candidate Donald Trump won the November 8 presidential elections in the United States, despite most of the analysts and opinion polls predicting his defeat to Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton.
"We know little yet of specific plans and intentions of the future [US] administration in that sphere. At the stage of the election campaign, relevant signals on the part of Trump and his team were limited, and we have studied all that was said at the time on the issue," Ryabkov said.
"In the US system, election campaign promises and what is said at the stage of the election campaign and real politics are different things."
