Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the UK Labour Party, will say in a speech on Saturday that the victory of Donald Trump in US presidential election is a "global wake-up call" to rid politics of billionaires’ interests, while the tycoon himself offered no real solutions.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Corbyn's speech has been sent to UK media outlets ahead of a regional party conference.

"Instead of offering real solutions or the resources to make them work, he offered only someone to blame – everyone, that is, apart from those who are actually responsible for a broken economy and a failed political system," the speech reads.

According to The Guardian newspaper, the Labour leader will accuse the ruling Conservative party of using the same scare tactics as Trump does.

"They have opened the door to UKIP [UK Independence Party] and fanned the flames of fear … People are right to be angry: our failed economic system is delivering falling living standards and rising inequality. We have no idea how Donald Trump proposes to ‘make America great again’, and [UK Prime Minister] Theresa May’s Tories offer slogans, but no solutions, for most people in Britain," Corbyn will say, as quoted by the media outlet.

Trump won the US presidential elections despite most of the analysts and opinion polls predicting his defeat to Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton.

Following Trump’s victory, Corbyn said that it was a sign of the nation's rejection of Washington's failed economic policies and of the governing elite, noting that his answers to the issues the United States is facing were wrong.
