    NATO Chief Looks Forward to Meeting US President-Elect Trump

    Jens Stoltenberg has invited US President-elect Donald Trump to visit the NATO Summit next year.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg has congratulated US President-elect Donald Trump and said he is looking forward to meeting him soon, in a statement circulated on Wednesday.

    "I look forward to meeting Mr. Trump soon, and welcoming him to Brussels for the NATO Summit next year to discuss the way forward," the secretary general said.

    Stoltenberg stressed US leadership was as important as ever in a new security environment, plagued by hybrid warfare, cyberattacks, and terrorism.
