Russia has no intention or right to get involved in the US presidential election, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Republican nominee Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that the vote in the US would be rigged in favor of his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

"This is an entirely internal issue of the United States," Peskov told reporters when asked to comment on the issue.

"We do not have the right or any intentions to get involved in the US electoral problems, there are many issues with it as it is," the Kremlin spokesman said, commenting on Trump’s allegations.

Earlier this month, media reported that the Kremlin was allegedly gathering a dossier on Clinton and launching a disinformation campaign ahead of Tuesday’s elections. Peskov himself was allegedly tasked with it. "No, it is not me," Peskov said, commenting on the reports.

He added that there was no person in the Kremlin administration controlling the US presidential campaign and such claims were ridiculous.
