US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is not wise by speaking insultingly about Russian President Vladimir Putin, Republican nominee Donald Trump told a rally in Springfield, Ohio on Thursday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Trump also vowed to change the direction of US foreign policy if he is elected on November 8.

"She speaks so badly of Putin, [the leader of a] nuclear country and she uses [it] to try and get votes," Trump said. "She speaks very badly about Putin and I don't think that’s smart."

Trump went on to point out that WikiLeaks has revealed that Clinton’s own team said she has "terrible instincts."

Trump also repeated during the rally his denial that he had any ties to Russia or its government.

"I have nothing to do with Russia…[I am] not involved in projects with the Russians…Wouldn't it be great if we got along with Russia and other countries and we went after ISIS [Daesh] together with Russia and other nations?" he asked.
