The Russian top doplomat slammed the "artificial impression" which is being created in the United States about Moscow's alleged involvement in the presidential elections.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The United States falls under the false impression that Russia interferes in US elections, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.

"I will not comment on the prospects of the elections in the United States. After all, an artificial impression is already being created among at least the US public that Russia is actively involved in these processes," Lavrov said at an Association of European Businesses briefing in Moscow.
